Having lost three of the people she held most dear - her mother, husband and daughter - Celia has reached breaking point and isn't sure how to navigate life alone. The protagonist of the story, Celia, was described by Christie's husband, Max, as "more nearly than anywhere else a portrait of Agatha". Considered to be semi-autobiographical, this novel explores the relationship between love and death so allows us to explore the topic of betrayal from a variety of different angles.
